Hectronic extends cooperation with long-term customer
Hectronic, a specialist in embedded computer solutions, secures an order worth SEK 7 million yearly with an international customer within the vehicle industry for development and production of a custom made embedded computer system.
The system is the fifth generation full custom embedded computer developed by Hectronic for the customer in the many years of cooperation. “The customers extension of orders for another generation of the same system shows that Hectronics experience and knowledge to further develop products is in front edge. To be able to update the customer’s products to new platforms without affecting the already developed software gives Hectronic a competitive advantage.” says Stefan Löf, Managing Director at Hectronic.
The system is specifically developed for operation in harsh environments. The specification includes an extended temperature operating range and shock and vibration protection. The system undergoes extensive testing and certification procedures. Delivery of the first systems started in Q3 2016.
