With In-cell technology the touch function is integrated in the display improving the transmission rate, visibility and making it thinner and lighter. Also called Pixel Eye. The table below for both traditional PCAP touch and Pixel Eye models.
KOE developed an LCD module with integrated capacitive multi-touch functionality – Pixel Eyes, and has started to apply in industrial display and equipment. Conventional touch panels formed the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) layers on an external touch panel module. In Pixel Eyes, the Rx function is incorporated into the shielding layer on the colour filter substrate while the Tx function is incorporated into the common electrode on the TFT substrate. Thus, the touch panel function is integrated in the display. Since it eliminates the need for an external touch panel, thinner and lighter LCD modules are achievable. Furthermore, Pixel Eyes contributes to improvement of visibility by eliminating the discrete touch panel module.
Hectronic offers a wide range of std models with pcap touch and can also make customization from a yearly volume of 300+.
